Outfit: She's so Unusual

 Today was such a great day! I feel like I really accomplished some things that needed tending to including laundry and cleaning my studio. After I got some work done I visited Salvation Army and hit the mother load of vintage records including a perfect album "She's so Unusual" by Cyndi Lauper. I LOVE feel good music... I just can't get enough! Anyway, Mary Brennan sent me this dress which made my day.. Thanks, Mary! It fits me perfectly. Also, I filmed a Whole Foods Haul that will be uploaded really soon! The weather has been so sunny and cheerful in Chicago that I can't help but smile! I can't believe it's only spring and it's already 80 degrees F! How is your spring going?

Outfit: Lady Lilac

 WOW... I am so incredibly obsessed with lilacs this year! It's a new obsession for me as there is a very large lilac bush not far from my studio. I always walk to the bush with my sheers and a couple of bags to harvest some lilac blooms. Alas, lilac season is almost over! The stems are so thick and woody and they always drink a bunch of water. They don't last long before wilting, but they have the most fragrant smell and beautiful purple blooms! What flower is your favorite?

The Importance of Being Silly

Hey, guys! So I have a question for you... how important do you think it is to show your silly side on your blog? Do you want to see more silly posts from me? I'm a VERY silly person and it's probably because of how loud and goofy my family and friends are. I just wanted to pop in to say Happy Saturday. I'm pretty silly in my youtube videos and I'd like to think some of my outfit out-takes are silly, too. I love to make people laugh! It's my favorite thing. Speaking of silliness, has anyone seen Katy Perry's new music video? I'm in love with how silly it is and it inspired this post! XO

Thistle Magazine: The Courage Issue Featuring the Paulie Antiques Suitcase Collection

Happy Friday! Today the Courage Issue of Thistle Magazine was released and my suitcase collection is featured on page 51! I wrote a story for the feature about my suitcases and their stories. Outfit: I am a Dahlia Girlfriend

When Van from Dahlia contacted me about reviewing a piece of their clothing from their new winter update, I was so ecstatic and immediately said, "YES!" My interview is also up on the Dahlia Blog here! Dahlia is such a fabulous brand from London, United Kingdom! I've always wanted to visit London, and now I feel as if I have a special memento from there. This scalloped black leather pinafore was the piece of clothing I chose, and it's really comfortable and easy to iron (on the opposite side). It's also lined which is fabulous! Admittedly, I wore pettipants underneath this pinafore because it's still technically Winter here in Illinois, USA. One day, I will flash the camera and show you my pettipants... but today is not that day! I love this pinafore and I feel like it's incredibly versatile even though it's black and I am not great at styling black clothing. I am, however, good at styling shiny, leather, metallic, glittery things. The scallops are adorable and the pinafore is very well made! I loved the packaging so much that I also made hair ribbons out of it! ♥.
