Happy Saturday! Today I visited Oak Street Beach with my room mates Abby and Lauren. We met up with a cute couple and we all had lunch at a lakeside bar. The weather was wonderful and it felt so peaceful by the beach! I ordered a veggie burger with bacon.... I'm ironic, I guess ^.^

This is my best friend since kindergarden by the way.... her name is Lauren Blakeman and she's a fabulous actress who is moving to Los Angeles soon! I will miss you, Lauren! I'll come visit. I admire you for following your dreams. I love you!!!

Motown the Musical at the Oriental Theatre Chicago

I've always wanted to visit the site where the "fire proof" Iroquois Theatre used to stand in 1903 when the deadliest theatre and single building fire in USA history ended over 600 lives during a performance of Mr. Bluebeard (I wrote a 12 page paper for my Theatre History II class...) and now I've finally been! After the Iroquois burned, it was torn down and the Colonial Theatre took it's place. In 1926 the Oriental was built on part of the land where it once stood. People around Chicago continue the rumor that the Oriental Theatre is haunted and a lobby usher also told me he once felt something whip by him late at night... almost like a light. The theatre was BEAUTIFUL and I was so happy to be seeing Motown the Musical. The show was so fabulous and I love Motown music so much and my parents do, as well! Definitely go see a show at the Oriental in Chicago if you can! XO

Spring Pressings & Failed Outfit Post

Before I left to move to Chicago, I tried to photograph an outfit of mine... it was incredibly windy that day and my tripod kept falling over. The first photo above was the only salvageable one from the shoot. Hopefully I'll have many more in Chicago to come! Here are some pressings I did so far this spring. I'm happy that Chicago is blooming everywhere and I live in a semi-residential area that has beautiful white blooms on the trees. I can't wait to visit Lake Michigan and the beach, of course! I start my paid internship with the Goodman Theatre tomorrow so I'll be traveling to the downtown Chicago Theatre District 5 days out of the week full time. I'm really excited to be by the beach.... more to come. How is the beginning of your summer? XO

Pineapple Ginger Coconut Pops

 It's probably not a secret that I love banana and shredded coconut and ginger in everything.... so let's just mix those with pineapple for the perfect naturally sweet pops! ♥.

Pineapple Ginger Coconut Pop Recipe:

1 Banana

Juice from 1 can of sliced pineapples 

5 pineapple slices

handful of shredded coconut

a pinch of diced fresh ginger

blend together in a blender and pour in your mold! Enjoy!
