Outfit: Spring Snow

Initially, I thought I could never pull off a bob. I tried a few and wrote them off saying that my face was too round or my neck looked funny in them. I decided to give this one a chance today and I am very glad I did. I can see myself maybe wearing this wig out, it's so low maintenance and short. I literally never thought this day would come. As I took photos today it started to snow and the flurries got into my bangs and I was really happy to see the snow despite the declaration of spring... I love to stay indoors and study and create and it's nice to feel like I'm not missing anything that's going on in the outside world. Do you ever feel like that?
I bought this blouse from First Ladies Vintage (now known as lexicon shop) a few years ago and haven't been able to properly display it until now. It's such a fabulous piece from my friend, Niki!

Meeting Devyn Crimson

Devyn and I have been friends on instagram for a bit now and when I found out she lived in Chicago I was so happy and sent her a message about meeting. Fast forward a few months and we finally found some time during spring break to have some tea and meet up! I had her over to my studio and she looked like she stepped straight out of the 1960's. I definitely want to style her in the future and she's SUCH a doll! Thanks for coming all the way to the north side, Devyn! It was so fun drinking tea and listening to records with you! :)

Paulie Antiques Spring 2018 Designs

So, it's technically not spring yet... we still have a little less than a month. Mimosa acacia ushers in spring in the most delightful way with it's subtle fresh fragrance that I can't get enough of. It's only around for a limited amount of time so each year I make sure to get out to the wholesaler to purchase some. I dry it every year and it honestly makes me SO excited for spring! Here's a little arrangement I put together today. Here's to spring! :) XO

Favorite 2017 Posts

2017 was another great year as a freelance floral designer in Chicago. I dabbled in wardrobe crew and wardrobe styling throughout the year and managed to travel to New Orleans for the first time. I started taking prerequisites to apply to a diagnostic medical sonography degree starting Fall 2019.  I hope to travel even more in 2018 and I really enjoyed the biology classes I took in the past year. I designed 3 weddings solo and each was so special and taught me something unique and different. It's really hard for me to believe that 2018 marks the turn of 10 years of blogging! I was 18 when I started this blog in high school and I'm so fortunate to be part of such a supportive and friendly blogging community. I have met so many amazing people through blogging and I am so thankful. Happy New year to all, thanks for being here! I would love to hear about your New Years Resolutions for 2018 in the comments below! XO .
