Outfit: Visit to Allerton Park

I went on an adventure to Allerton Park with my friend Nathan Adhikari yesterday because he was scouting out locations for an engagement shoot he's been hired to photograph in a few days. The drive there was about twenty minutes, but I didn't mind because the weather was incredibly beautiful and warm. I always forget how gorgeous the drive is to Allerton... it's almost like being in a different world because it was built in 1903! I could spend countless hours here reading my favorite books, napping, dreaming and drawing without a care in the world. It's nice to get away from the city every so often.
These shoes are courtesy of YesWalker. I love the two toned t-strap and I adore the bow. They're easy to walk in and I've actually been wearing them for the past few days because they are so comfortable. I feel like I can wear them with anything. I get so many compliments on them. They came in this cute little bag with the YesWalker logo to keep my shoes in nice condition. Overall, I love them and would definitely work with YesWalker, again! Thanks so much, YesWalker!

Favorite places in Urbana-Champaign: Jarling's Custard Cup

Custard Cup is one of my most favorite places in Urbana-Champaign to get something sweet. It's not too expensive and it's an independently owned business that's really unique and fun! What's not to love? If you're ever in the area, I really recommend visiting! I love the peach custard in a waffle cone (that's what I got in this photo!)
Happy Sunday!

Movie of the Week: Green Mansions (1959)

When Abel (played by Anthony Perkins) comes to Venezuela to seek revenge for his father's death, he is confronted with a different view of life. After meeting an Indian tribe living in a forest nearby and gaining their trust, he learns of a woman who is rumored to have killed the chief's son. Abel has heard the forest where Rima (played by Audrey Hepburn) lives is forbidden, but searches for her, regardless. She moves as quick and weightless as a bird, without sound. She lives in the forest with her adopted Grandfather who saved her life when she was four years old. He has kept her safe from the outside world until this day. Abel and Rima journey to the town where her mother was killed and they eventually fall in love. If you're looking for a film with breath taking scenery and romance, then I highly suggest this. The plot is straight forward and without complications. Even though this film was a "box office failure," I would venture to say I'd gladly watch it once more. Audrey Hepburn is an enchantress of the forest and it's impossible to take your eyes off her.

Outfit: Spring Awakening

Today has been an incredibly beautiful day outside and I plan to get back outside after finishing this post. I've been listening to the true oldies channel on the radio and driving around in my car with the windows all the way down. It's such a wonderful feeling after experiencing winter for what seemed like  an entire year, almost. I stumbled upon this sun dial and thought it was such a beautiful tribute to the fact that the sun is finally out and nature is blooming all around! I hope it's sunny and warm where you are! XO!

Thursday

In retrospect...

I've been thinking about my business and how it has completely changed my life and how absolutely blessed I am to be this fortunate. I want to share some photos I've taken over the past year while selling vintage, antique, original artwork, and handmade with Paulie Antiques. I've been shipping all over the world and it makes me so ecstatic!
I am truly passionate about running this business and my heart beats so intently for it. Have you found something that you're truly passionate about in life? Please share!! XO
