When Abel (played by Anthony Perkins) comes to Venezuela to seek revenge for his father's death, he is confronted with a different view of life. After meeting an Indian tribe living in a forest nearby and gaining their trust, he learns of a woman who is rumored to have killed the chief's son. Abel has heard the forest where Rima (played by Audrey Hepburn) lives is forbidden, but searches for her, regardless. She moves as quick and weightless as a bird, without sound. She lives in the forest with her adopted Grandfather who saved her life when she was four years old. He has kept her safe from the outside world until this day. Abel and Rima journey to the town where her mother was killed and they eventually fall in love. If you're looking for a film with breath taking scenery and romance, then I highly suggest this. The plot is straight forward and without complications. Even though this film was a "box office failure," I would venture to say I'd gladly watch it once more. Audrey Hepburn is an enchantress of the forest and it's impossible to take your eyes off her.
