Tuesday

paint and frozen grapes.

I awoke this morning at 7 AM only to grab some frozen grapes out of the fridge and throw some toast in the oven. After, I began to paint.. here are the results.. :D
I've REALLY become obsessed with freezing grapes.. I never really purchased them before because they would always end up going bad. Now I don't have that problem!
I ate them with cookies and cream ice cream the other day.. it was AMAZING. You should definitely try this!

Saturday

I love hydrangeas

When I was young my mother kept an assortment of dried flowers. She had a large collection of pussy-willows that were gorgeous! I've come to find that I enjoy collecting and photographing dried flowers as well.
Say hello to the new bouquet of dried flowers now in my room! (also below). I just love this type of dried flower.. and I've come to compile quite a collection of photos of them! (all photos taken by me!) Enjoy!
Also, in one of my all time favorite movies, Harold and Maude, Maude has a bouquet of dried flowers on her living room table that I FELL in LOVE with! Everything about that movie inspires me. Hope you're having a swell Saturday! ;D Thank you all so much for the kind thoughts and comments!!

Tuesday

family ties

This photo was taken in December of 1988 at a Christmas party in Beverly Hills, California (where my mother used to live for four years!) My mom sent this picture to me in an email last night and it made me so happy!! I love seeing a picture of my mom actually wearing this hat. She looks so beautiful. I love her so much (I love you mom and dad! Thanks for talking me through things tonight.. you're the best.)
I also really love the fact that she is wearing pearls in that picture and I am, too! (she gave me everything I am wearing in these photos!) My mom actually JUST RECENTLY found out she was pregnant with me in this picture. <3 I was born in August of 1989.
Nathan Adhikari took these amazing photos! He is a good friend of mine!
