Thursday

inspiration from afar

The artwork of Myoung Ho Lee astonishes me. He is a South Korean artist and photographer with a wonderful knack for acting as if nature should be put on display. I love this idea because I am obsessed with nature and have always wanted to take photos of leaves against the sky at all times of the day. I also think it's bloody brilliant when you happen to find a tree standing all by its lonesome. I think all of these photos are inspirational to the highest degree! What do you like about them?
have a lovely Thursday!
love, polly

I really like the stark empty ones in particlar, where it's just the tree, the white tarp and the empty landscape. Seeing other things around like more trees etc. seems to kill the effect a little. So cool though!

These are so beautiful! At first glance I didn't even realize they were actual trees :) What an interesting concept. Thank you for letting us know about his cool work!

Wow great inspiration. I love that the backdrop really lends itself to the viewer taking in the whole tree and appreciating its value...often times we may just glance past nature in day to day life taking it for granted but I really noticed the loveliness and uniqueness of each tree as an individual! thanks for sharing! :) -Lo

I love these - placing the trees against such a plain background gives them a lot more impact individually. It makes it easier to appreciate their form in insolation :)
