Knee Sock Trending 2010-2013

I've been a big fan of the knee high tight and sock since 2010, but it only recently occurred to me just how much I wear knee socks in every day life. They're definitely my way of covering up with bold colors- and I even wear striped ones, sometimes! Here are the photos I've taken over the last few years where I am wearing this knee sock trend. Lolita Style: An Exploration

I find Lolita style to be so interesting (although I could never dress like that every day!) The mix of inspirations they pull from is definitely my interest... but the thing is, they don't seem to actually wear real vintage. This is so interesting, anyway! I love how in Japan it's widely accepted and applauded. I really want to visit Japan :) What do you think of this trend? Do you know any cute online shops that sell Lolita style?
