my vintage book collection: The Twenties in Vogue

When my costume design teacher sold most of her books last year.. I was there to buy her treasures (I was beyond excited!!). Among her collection was this lovely book which has taught me oh SO much about the 1920's. I love it!
I'm embroidering bow ties tonight! So excited to show you my progress! They will be done on July 20th! I am making plans with my amazing photographer, Nathan Adhikari, soon to do the photoshoot with models! Eeeps!
love, polly :)

I love that Vogue used to contain so many illustrations. Woldn't it be amazing if they commissioned some current designers/artists to do some illustrations now?

Our public library has a copy of The Thirties in Vogue and it's fabulous. I haven't seen a copy of The Twenties, though, so I'm going to have to keep an eye out for it. I adore books like that! Great find!

That book looks so cool! I love the illustrations- I think 1920s fashion is so interesting and beautiful. I will have to check my library for this copy! I would love to get some design ideas that are more realistic and less costumey :)

Your blog is so adorable and you are so talented! Excited to read more!
