vintage fabric=new dress construction!

I am making a vintage 1973 dress out of a vintage sheet. I love the details, and the workers in the costume shop told me that the fabric is rare. :D
The instructions actually look pretty easy!
It's the second gray dress! I got the pattern at Salvation Army for .79 cents! Woop woop! This will be the least expensive piece of clothing I have made.
AND just in case you didn't already see it (here or here) my blouse is done! I actually wore it to a friend's birthday party last weekend! :)
love, polly :)

That fabric is soo pretty. I love that it is simplistic but detailed at the same time. I can't wait to see the end result. And the kitty is so cute, I love that gray patch over it's eye.

Your blouse looks phenomenal by the way. You must have a special glow of pride when you wear something you've made!

just came across your blog from elsie! I have this pattern too! It was my moms when she was younger, and used it to make her graduation dress! I can't wait to see the finished dress! Maybe it will get my butt in gear to use this pattern too!

Oh, I'm such a pain, I'm browsing a bunch of old entries on your blog (via the sidebar buttons) but I must know: how did the dress come out? The fabric is so lovely!
